These are a great pair of drawings! Niff, your accuracy when blind still amazes me--makes me eager to practice, practice this kind of drawing and I have been! It's actually a tiny bit addictive.

These are both really great. I'm always so suprised by how much really authentic detail can be captured in blind contour.
Thanks for the challange.

Very nice, Sutter & Niff. It's been very interesting to see how you both react to the same subject for BC. THese drawings are both very dynamic & I really like the addition of the yellow & blue areas.

Nice drawings :)
I love the inclusion of colors. Is the line under niff's lens the shadow delimitation?

That's fantastic detail you get, Niff and Sutter! Especially the shading.

I wrote that I'd be participating but maybe you didn't get it. Anyway, here's my entry - my kitchen tool container. I'm going to do this every Friday - what a lot of fun!

Karen's Blind Contour

These are yummy as always - I just love blind contour drawing - really relaxing and ever so surprising. Thanx all for your kind comments on mine - I did it in about 2 minutes flat and it's my best yet lol. Will try adding colour to the next one ....

Niff--Surprisingly enough it doesn't work too well if you try to draw your blind contour while looking at the tv instead of the object, either. Like I tried to do :)

How the hell do you get such accurate detail?

Amazing. Both cameras look great.

Here's my addition:

tha amount of detail both of you include is amazing! plus the different line weights, pen color and spot color make it so interesting . . . . you guys are sooo good at this!

Niff--I thought I'd give it a quick try this week:

But honestly, you two...All that detail and it still looks like a camera! Very nice! I checked out the other participants as well and love the results. Such surreal-looking stuff along with a fresh, unpredictable edged.

i wanna sit down and blind contour with you guys. i have a feeling that i'll learn something watching you.

Just subscribed to Inkfinger - enjoying your work. I couldn't resist having a go at blind contour Friday...

Gosh! i decided to secretly join in with the Blind Contour Friday thing and the first one i did (fri 12th) was of an old manual camera..(a Nikon)..how spooky! Except mine was a horrible horrible mess... not like these. I like the random film canisters.

That's darn good contour drawing!! I don't know why but I find blind contour drawings so appealing!!!

These are fab! So much detail, I am impressed!
